Brandon Maxwell has been a longtime collaborator with Lady Gaga and can be attributed to some of her most memorable red carpet and award show outfits, including the black ballgown she wore to perform “Shallow” with Bradley Cooper at the 2019 Oscars and her epic Met Gala transformation from the same year. Now, the former Project Runway judge has traded celebrity dressing for affordable fashion as he just dropped a new summer collection for Walmart.
Maxwell is bringing his eye for high fashion to Walmart, and creating affordable, everyday pieces that you can wear to the office or brunch. The designer was announced as creative director for two of Walmart’s in-house apparel brands, Free Assembly and Scoop, in 2021, he’s back with new pieces for summer. What that means: you can watch incorporate his luxury taste into your own summer wardrobe — minus having to spend hundreds of dollars on a single item.
Prices for the Scoop summer collection range from $18-$75 and feature a range of light and airy dresses as well as classic jackets and statement making pants that’ll most likely be at the top of your rotation.
