If you’re like us, you’ve probably been bumpin’ KATSEYE’s “Pinky Up” since its release on April 9.
The new techno pop single is the group’s first as five since member Manon’s hiatus, which began in February. The song was written by Justin Tranter, who has written tracks for Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Linkin Park, Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, among others. “Pinky Up” was produced by dwilly, “hitman” bang and FRANTS, while the video was directed by Bardia Zeinali.
KATSEYE teased the song via their Instagram Reel posted on March 30, which depicts Mona Lisa sipping on a hot cup of tea with her little finger politely extended. Following the release, KATSEYE performed “Pinky Up” during their debut 2026 Coachella performance on April 10 to widespread fanfare. The song topped the poll for “favorite new music release this week” on Billboard as voted on by fans.
In celebration of the track’s release and their successful Coachella debut, the girl group dropped “Pinky Up” merch at Hot Topic. Some of our favorites from the line include a pompom-adorned keychain for $17.90 with silver hardware and a funky holographic KATSEYE charm. While this piece obviously works as a keychain, we’d likely attach this to a work bag or tote, updating an otherwise simple silhouette. Attached to your keys, this charm-adorned chain even makes keys look cool.
The KATSEYE Pinky Up Clothes Pile T-Shirt for $29.90 is also one of our favorites. If you’ve watched the music video, you’ll recognize the graphics on this tee as the “horse” made out of a pile of clothes that Yoonchae rides. The tee is a pastel yellow with pink lettering. It’s simple but maximalist thanks to the playful color scheme. Oftentimes, merch tees are clearly artist-inspired, but they lack style. Thankfully, the fit and design of this shirt is something we can see plenty of fashionable folk gravitating toward.
If you’re looking to accessorize the KATSEYE way, the collection also includes a “dad” hat in black with yellow embroidery. The hat retails for $29.90 and is made of distressed cotton. You can’t really go wrong with a baseball cap. The “dad” aspect is thanks to the fit, which is slightly less structured than your average cap, sitting more relaxed on the head. All these picks, and more, can be shopped below or on Hot Topic’s website.
