New music from Lorde seems to be upon us. The singer/songwriter shared cover artwork with the title “Solar Power” on her website Monday (June 7).
It’s unclear whether it’s a title of a song or an album — or something else altogether — but the art shows a woman, possibly Lorde herself, photographed from the ground up wearing a thong with a long-sleeve yellow shirt. “ARRIVING IN 2021 … PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE,” reads a message under the artwork.
Last month, Lorde was announced as a headliner at Barcelona’s 2022 Primavera Sound Festival, alongside The Strokes, Dua Lipa and more. The elusive singer, who has kept a low profile since the 2018 tour in support of her 2017 sophomore album Melodrama, is among 400 acts slated to perform across two weekends next year (June 2-4, June 9-11).
